ABOUT US

Janet King and Caroline Shanley Swim School began at Easter 1995. We had both been teaching for many years in a leisure centre environment and thought we could use our skills to offer the community and surrounding areas of Alton and Petersfield something different

We hired the pool at Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton, on a Saturday morning and Monday evening so we could offer our lessons to the surrounding community. Things went from strength to strength . Families travel to us from Farnham, Liss, Petersfield, Fleet as well as Alton,Holybourne Medstead, Four Marks and many other surrounding towns and villages.

We have recently moved to the newly refurbished pool at Bedales School, Church Road, Petersfield GU32 2DG. This also has a teaching pool where we can offer Parent and Child classes as well as Small Group lessons and Rookie Lifeguard.

Our lessons are carried out in private pools away from the distractions of a public facility. They are highly in demand so early booking is essential. The enthusiasm and knowledge passed on from our ASA qualified instructors allows the children to develop their swimming ability whilst having fun along the way.

Swimming Lessons help to make the water a safe environment for all children, and will also allow parents to feel assured that they are giving their children very valuable life skills.

Our courses run throughout the year during Term Time. The courses are usually 12 sessions of 30min lessons and are very popular, so you need to book early to reserve a place.

All our Swimming Instructors are IOS qualified and the Swim School is affiliated to the IOS, we have many years of experience.
